Not that I particularly wish this blog to descend into a repetitive record of moaning about the failure of my Xbox but having the supposedly repaired Xbox returned to me whilst still broken was a notable moment! So off it goes back to the service centre. As compensation I get a free wireless controller which is not to be sniffed at. Amusingly enough I can expect to receive my free controller within a week whilst the console will take 3-4. Fantastic.

Turned around in just over two weeks - I must admit to being pleasantly surprised by that - fingers crossed it’ll work when it arrives!

Such a great time to be an Xbox 360 owner… my copy of Assassin’s Creed arrives next week, Team Fortress 2 is reigniting my enjoyment of deathmatch type games and Mass Effect is just days away.

Thus, this was not a sight I wanted to see…

Inconvenient doesn’t quite cover it!

I’ve only just remembered the times I used to spend playing this awesomely simple top-down space war game on Wireplay (back when it belonged to BT - circa 2001). Sadly, and to some extent uniquely, virtually all mention of this game has vanished from the internet. All I can find is one rather lame screenshot…

… and the sad end of the community. I’m not sure there’s ever been a game to make such a total disappearance.

Now this would make an awesome Xbox 360 Live Arcade game…someone get to it.
